Delegate Information
The symposium will take place and University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland, hosted by the Civil and Environmental Engineering department. The department has been delivering world-class teaching and research for over 135 years, and has strong links to industry and public bodies integrated into its research, teaching and knowledge exchange activity. In 2022, the department became the only individual engineering department to hold a Gold Athena Swan Award, marking a commitment to providing an inclusive and supportive academic environment for all. Civil and Environmental Engineering is one of eight departments in a Faculty of Engineering with over 4,500 undergraduate students. While departmental research expertise centres around Ground Engineering and Energy; Intelligent Infrastructure; and Water, Environment, Sustainability & Public Health, staff and students across the faculty exploit tomography in a wide spectrum of applications.

The main conference will be held at the Mc Cance building, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. The workshops will be held at the James Weir building which is within close proximity
By car
University of Strathclyde does not have parking for visitors, and are therefore limited to the parking across the city of Glasgow. This is possible, but we would advise booking in advance. We would advise booking parking in advance whenever possible. The postcode for the McCance building is G1 1XQ. Parking at Duke Street (a few minutes walk from the venue) is often available at £5/day.
By rail
Glasgow Central station is a 12 minute walk from the conference location and Glasgow Queen Street is 5 minutes away.
By air
Glasgow city centre can be reached from Glasgow Airport (15-20 min journey) from Edinburgh Airport (~1hr journey) via shuttle bus services.

You will need to arrange your own accommodate this year. There are hotels to suit all budgets within a sort walk of the conference venue. The Premier Inn is just a couple of minutes walk away so would be the ideal place to stay. Strathclyde students return from Monday 11th September (the week after our conference), so please try to book accommodation early.
