Workshops

Workshops will take place on Monday, May 22. The morning session will be from 9-12, and the afternoon session from 1-4. Delegates will be invited to register for workshops via the online registration form, with places allocated on a first come first served basis.

The workshop day is split into two so you can attend one morning workshop and one afternoon workshop. Participants will be required to bring their own laptop with minimum requirements as specified by the workshop provider. For some workshops, participant's emails will be provided to the workshop leader so they may provide trial licenses.

MORNING: Pretrained Models Accelerate Everyone's Deep Learning with Dragonfly

Morning Session
No previous experience required. This hands-on workshop will introduce you to best practices for training fully automated image segmentation models in Dragonfly. You will learn how to use intensity calibration, pre-trained models, and experiment with different architectures to obtain best-in-class Deep Learning image segmentation.
1 places available

MORNING: Introduction to Digital Morphology with SlicerMorph

Morning Session
Digital Morphology with SlicerMorph: Importing image stacks, visualization, segmentation, animations, exporting models and data sharing. Demo of available ML tools in Slicer for segmentation. Laptop requirements: any recent laptop with dedicated GPU and at least 16GB of RAM.
10 places available

MORNING: Reactiv'IP : CT Data Analysis Hands-on using IPSDK Explorer (Machine Learning and automatic Python Script generation)

Morning Session
During this workshop, you will use IPSDK Explorer and discover:

--how to generate automatically 2D/3D/4D Image Processing Python scripts without needing Python knowledge or needing to type code lines
--how to process your datasets either using traditional Image Processing features or based on Machine Learning for:
Pixel or SuperPixel segmentation
Object classification
5 places available

MORNING: Masterclass: Avizo Software for CT data

Morning Session
In this hands-on masterclass you will learn some secrets to make the best of Thermo Scientific™ Avizo™ Software with CT datasets. The course will start from basics all the way to the newest features. The course will cover data visualization, segmentation and measurement, and how to make presentations and movies in Avizo Software.

This is an interactive workshop, so upon registration you will receive access to Avizo Software on the cloud for the day of the workshop, to replicate what the trainer is doing.

System requirements: laptop capable of connecting to the internet with an external mouse (preferable).

You will receive a certificate of completion for attending this course.

AFTERNOON: Quantitative Analysis with Dragonfly

Afternoon Session
No previous experience required. This hands-on workshop will let you take your deep learning segmentation or any other segmentation, and compute quantitative measurements on size, shape, intensity, aspect ratio and a wide range of other features. See how you can update your visualization based on your segmentation and your quantitative measurements.

AFTERNOON: Morphometrics data collection and exploration with SlicerMorph

Afternoon Session
Morphometrics data collection and exploration with SlicerMorph, exporting data to R for inferential statistics. Laptop requirements: any recent laptop with dedicated GPU and at least 16GB of RAM.
12 places available

AFTERNOON: Reactiv'IP : CT Data Analysis Hands-on using IPSDK Explorer (Machine Learning and automatic Python Script generation)

Afternoon Session
During this workshop, you will use IPSDK Explorer and discover:

--how to generate automatically 2D/3D/4D Image Processing Python scripts without needing Python knowledge or needing to type code lines

AFTERNOON: Masterclass: Deep Learning with Avizo Software

Afternoon Session
In this hands-on masterclass you will learn how to label your data, train the neural network and apply Deep Learning algorithms on your datasets. You will also learn how to apply Deep Learning algorithms to common CT users' challenges. If you are not familiar with Avizo Software, we recommend following the morning session to be up to speed.
